That position, as well as studying the likes of authors Chris Voss and Dale Carnegie, sharpened my negotiation skills. Having lived and worked in diverse locales such as New York City, Portland, and Miami, I developed an acute ability to connect with people from all walks of life. As great as those experiences were, I always knew that the Hudson River Valley was the ideal place to settle down.
